Jessi Nicholson holds a Bachelor of Music Education (voice) and has been working as a private vocal coach for 20 years. She is also a pianist, workshop facilitator, adjudicator, arts administrator, events planner and artistic director of a number of performing arts programs including instruction in songwriting, musical theatre and drama. She also creates programming that meets the needs of school curriculum, utilizing the arts as a vehicle for learning.
Jessi's latest program is "Emerging Artist Mentorship". Develop or brush up your skills as an artist and business person. Enjoy personal coaching through songwriting, performance preparation, the recording process and booking gigs. You may also choose to receive mentorship as a teacher
Her experience working with children, youth, teens, adults and seniors set her apart from the rest as she offers a versatility that meets the needs of a diverse community. She has hosted workshops at Capilano University, with the North Vancouver Arts Council, Vancouver School Board, Coquitlam School District Pre-K Fine Arts Conference, West Vancouver Continuing Education and much more.
Some of her performance/directorial highlights include: Lion King, Alice In Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Best Little Theatre In Town, Into The Woods, Emporer's New Clothes, Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, A Chorus Line, Mystery of Edwin Drood, Sleeping Beauty, A Night In The Ukraine, Rigoletto, La Traviata and The Gondoliers.
